WWE Money In The Bank Predictions, Rumours, WWE Title, Finn Balor, Dean Ambrose, e.c.t.

WWE Money in the Bank is upon us. One of the most exciting events of the year, with one superstar almost guarantied to be sent up to the title picture after becoming Mr. Money in the Bank. We also have an match that has been a very long time in the making in Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins for the WWE Title, with a tease set up that Ambrose may win the briefcase and cash in. We also might have surprise returns from the likes of Randy Orton and/or Bray Wyatt, and we may even see a Finn Balor turn up to debut in WWE, which has also been teased for a long time now.

At the moment Kevin Owens is the favourite to win the Money in the Bank briefcase. Since arriving in WWE he has been a consistently great heel. He has received the hatred of a good portion of the WWE fans by using bad guy tactics to defeat and bully the good guys. He receives the love of another good portion of the fans who admire his in-ring ability and his skill on the microphone, and everything else he does to be a heel. Everyone knows that he can go toe-to-toe with anybody in the WWE title picture. The only other likely candidate to win is Dean Ambrose.

Dean Ambrose is another one who has proven he can hang in the WWE Title easily enough. He's already been there, against both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. And, of course, he even went against Brock Lesnar. Since the break up of The Shield, Dean Ambrose has remained a top babyface in the company. However, recently, it has seemed like WWE Creative haven't been sure what to do with him. He could've been utilized so much better against Roman Reigns when they fought for the title, he could've been given a win over Brock Lesnar. It wouldn't be the first time Lesnar has been defeated simply because his opponent was able to use weapons to gain the advantage (Extreme Rules against Cena) without losing his status as an unbeatable beast. He has since been stuck in a pointless feud against Chris Jericho which hasn't done anything good for him. All it seemed like was an attempt to try to keep Ambrose in suspended animation as a top babyface by giving him victories over Jericho. However the feud has benefited Jericho more than anything, allowing him to show off just how great and entertaining he can be as a heel. However, allowing Ambrose to win the briefcase will generate interest in him again and allow him to enter the feud of Reigns and Rollins, allowing for the Title picture to be full Shield, and allowing for him to finally become the last member of the Shield to become WWE champion. It would also allow for some great and entertaining matchups, such as tag team matches that WWE love to do, where we could see a reunion of Rollins and Reigns where they can face off against Ambrose, who cost both of them the title, and whomever his tag partner would be.

This brings me to the surprise returns that could turn up. We could see Randy Orton or Bray Wyatt or even both. Orton might show up at the MITB match and attack whomever wins, or selectively attack someone to set up a feud. Bray Wyatt might also do the same. Or, the same could happen with the title match. One of them could turn up and ruin the title match, setting themselves up as a heel in the title picture. And, if whoever wins the MITB then cashes in to win the title, gives them a partner to face in the inevitable tag matches against Reigns and Rollins.

This brings me to The Club. AJ Styles will face off against Cena, hopefully to win via interference. Cena gave AJ the opportunity to fight him in a handicap match, giving the horrible explanation that AJ will win if he chooses the handicap advantage but will bury himself. Unfortunately AJ chose to face him alone, which is such a shame. It would've been great if AJ had refused to let Cena define their feud, and instead insist that he will defeat him with his Club brothers and still rise higher and become more of a success. Afterall, John Cena saying something is true doesn't make it true. A Heel who uses heel tactics isn't limited to be less successful than a babyface. The great heel tactic would've been to agree to the handicap match and destroy Cena and cement yourself as someone who will use any and every advantage to win, and not be someone who will allow the babyface of the feud to manipulate you. So, hopefully, there will be interference anyway which will allow AJ to win. If AJ does, somehow, win fairly, he'll need to really rub it in Cena's face and attempt to bully him afterwards to remain a heel. Although, because it's Cena, this may just result in AJ becomong more face.

This brings me to Finn Balor, who has been teasing his debut in the WWE for a long time, and teasing himself joining the Club, most recently at NXT Takeover: The End where instead of donning the black, white, and red body paint with some theme based on the location of Takeover, he opted to go for just simple Black and White body paint, the colours that The Club use, and the colours that AJ Styles wore when he came out to the ring and turned heel by attacking John Cena with the club. Finn Balor could interfere in this match to debut as a heel in WWE, join the Club, and set up a feud with Cena. It is a fantastic and easy opportunity. However, Finn Balor has something special in his ability as a Babyface that WWE would be wise to take advantage of. With his style, especially his body paint, he could gain a massive fandom that takes advantage of the alternative fans the WWE have, the likes of which Jeff Hardy had back in his days with WWE. Finn Balor also has great opportunity for marketable merchandise, such as his masks that children love to wear, and his cool-looking t-shirts that anyone would wear. It is inevitable that one day he should join The Club, but this should be done long after he's had a good run as a babyface, or even done when The Club eventually becomes a face faction. He can then join his buddies and remain a face. He could even enter a feud with the leader at the time, perhaps a heel AJ, and fight for leadership of The Club, finally turning it into The Balor Club.

I don't think Finn Balor will debut at MITB, but I do think his debut will be very very soon, and he'll debut as a babyface, either completely separate to The Club, or he'll debut with his friendship of The Club in mind, but his babyface status will then lead to The Club turning on him for a great heel Club vs face Balor feud. After all it would be fantastic booking to see a nice-guy Balor turn up expecting to reunite with his friends, get attacked, and then at their eventual match at Summerslam we get to see the first WWE appearance of The Demon, a monster who's there to wreak havoc on those who have pissed off Balor.

One way or another, however, I do feel that The Club needs another member. And it has to be someone important. The Club has great potential, but they need to be kept interesting. WWE will get out of this what they put into it, and it'd be wise to put what is needed into it. A potential member of The Club could even be Dean Ambrose. His lunatic nature would fit perfectly with them. He's also fantastic on the microphone, and The Club needs someone who can work the mic well. Gallows and Anderson are lacking in that department. AJ is great, but they could do with someone else too. Someone like Dean Ambrose. He already wears a leather jacket. Just change his colour scheme slightly and he'd work brilliantly as part of the Club. It would do wonders for Ambrose as it would instantly make him more interesting. He's great as he is but he's not interesting at the moment. He lacks a hook, which this would be. It would also give the Club an interesting hook in that it'd give them someone who has proven his top-tier status for a long time in the WWE. Someone who WWE fans who don't know these newcomers do actually know, and know well. It would also allow a now-heel AJ with The Club to interfere with the title match, angry that he didn't win in his last encounter with Reigns. Cue the winner of the MITB match Dean Ambrose's music to hit and him to come down to the ring to cash in, pin Reigns for the title, and join The Club. This gives us the great Summerslam main event of Ambrose vs Reigns vs Rollins, and also gives Ambrose the partner of AJ Styles for him to fight Reigns and Rollins with. Assuming that the AJ - Cena feud continues it also allows for Cena to make the save when Gallows and Anderson inevitably attack, and allows for WWE to tease tension between Cena and Reigns for their eventual match up.

Anyway this is all just speculation. I'm sure Money in the Bank will be entertaining. I just hope WWE doesn't disappoint us like it did last year. We need a good MITB winner, and if Rollins is going to lose to Reigns then we need an interesting ending to the match, not just a "Roman wins because he's better" ending. That would be the most boring and disappointing end to this. If Rollins wins then that's fantastic. If Rollins cheats and wins then that's fantastic. If the MITB winner interferes, and either he or Rollins then wins, then that's also fantastic. The only acceptable outcomes to MITB are either Reigns title reign comes to an end, or if he does keep the title it's by DQ, or a real interesting twist ending.
